(Human Resources) - Dairy

The Diploma of Business (Human Resources) has been developed by the National Centre for Dairy Education Australia for advisers who are, or would like to be, advising dairy farmers on human resource management decisions.

The Diploma provides a theoretical and practical foundation in recruitment, analysis of roles and responsibilities, employment law and industrial relations policies and procedures, management of working conditions, remuneration and employee benefits, induction processes, separation/termination procedures and training and development issues.

The program also covers issues such as the implications of succession planning and the importance of occupational health and safety. These elements are explored within the framework of dairy industry case studies and The People in Dairy resources and website.

There are eight units covered in five face-to-face workshops, each of three days duration (planned to be run in Melbourne). There is also a requirement to do activities in your workplace.

All workshops will run in 2008, 2009 and 2010 – so you could build a Diploma over one or two years.
